About Us
Here at Hooves of Joy, we aim to emphasize and develop our riders’ abilities, and help minimize their disabilities. Our PATH certified approach to horsemanship, although not therapy, provides each individual with empowerment that cannot be obtained in a clinical setting.
OUR FACILITIES
Highland Equestrian Center (HEC) is located on 22 acres just south of Ashland, Wisconsin, near the south shore of Lake Superior and is home to Hooves of Joy, a hidden gem in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. Our equine-assisted programs are offered year-round for children starting at age 5 and adults of any age.
OUR HORSES
Since we opened in 2018 we have helped over 200 individuals with their unique challenges through equine-assisted activities.
